Though tranquility is the byword at Bembridge Coast life was not always so peaceful. During World War II the South-East part of the site was rented to the Admiralty as a land-based warship. Nicknamed HSM Blazer the structure billeted some 250 men and stored arms and mobile radar equipment. Not that you'd know it today as you lie back in the Isle of Wight sun and enlist the kind of service and hospitality only a Warner hotel can provide. Right on the shingle beach on a particularly secluded stretch the views over the sea are enchanting. On a Warner Leisure Hotels short break there's live entertainment every night with breakfast three course dinner and accommodation all included in the price. All breaks are for adults only.
